How to make an awesome, simple ring out of colored pencils

Peter Brown is a computer geek by day and a woodworker by night and weekend. He recently posted a video and series of pictures demonstrating a fun project he experimented with that turned out very successfully.

Using a box of colored pencils and some glue, he created this nifty piece of wooden jewelry…

 



Assuming you have the tools, the process is wonderfully simple…

Get some colored pencils…

 

 

Glue them together…



 

Drill a hole the size of the ring you want…

 

Rough cut the outside of the ring…

 

Begin shaping it on a lathe…

 

 

 

Finish shaping it on a lathe…

 

 

 

Spray lacquer on it…

 

 

And you’re done…

Brown was not expecting his weekend experiment to generate the interest it has, so he’s not prepared for orders. But he says he’ll make more and add them to his Etsy page soon.

Not Your Typical Boy Band

The judges had little faith in jet an other boy band, who on topevrything only had known each other for a month. But as they startet singing "Stars" from Les Misérables, Collabro stunned the judges and audience with an audition that took everyone by surprise. Even Simon said that they will be future stars!

Priceless Texts Only Parents Could Write

 

A Meath priest singing Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah has gone viral.

Fr Ray Kelly’s surprise performance at the wedding of a couple in his parish of Old Castle has received more than 200,000 hits since being uploaded yesterday.

His Kelly’s personalised rendition of the song brought bride and groom Leah and Chris O’Kane to tears, and he has since been inundated with requests from soon to be wed couples.

“I knew somebody had taken a video, but I’ve been absolutely flabbergasted by the response, and there has been a fair demand for me to perform now it is online,” said Fr Kelly. “I’ve only been on YouTube once or twice in my life so it was a surprise to see the video and see how many views it has, I’ve been floored by the reaction.
